The law is a complex animal, and every attorney has his
or her own personal style. That can be an advantage when you're looking for a
particular litigation style to match the needs of a given situation. But
imagine what it's like when you need to have hundreds if not thousands of
attorneys reporting to you on the progress and details of the cases they are
working on, each attorney having his or her own personal style of reporting.
This is exactly the situation the legal departments of some of the larger
insurance companies find themselves in. They need to be able to stay on top of
hundreds of cases on any given day, and the details of each case are reported
by a different attorney.
Working closely with large insurance companies like CNA
HealthPro, Physician Health Plans, Inc., and Travelers Property Casualty Corp.,
Senior Partner Scott Mager is intimately familiar with the need for legal
reporting to be complete, correct, and concise in order to succeed at trial.
Working together with
Web Team Pros, we are developing a system that
allows multiple attorneys to follow the same recommended steps in reporting the
details of their cases, suggests checklists of tasks to be performed on
different types of cases, and allows them to manage their schedules. Attorneys
check off steps in the litigation process as they are completed and enter
details at each step. Milestone dates and commitment dates are all tracked by
the system and displayed in both list and calendar formats, so attorneys can
view their upcoming workload at a glance. All of this is done online in a
secure, easy-to-use application that helps prevent things from "falling through
the cracks" and helps attorneys focus on their cases instead of procedural
reporting details. Providing access to the insurance companies and clients to
view information on claims in which they are involved also allows for more
timely and more accurate reporting. Managing law partners also enjoy being able
to monitor the activity of their staff at a glance instead of sifting through
piles of paper to find the same information.
NOTE: As you can imagine, the sensitive nature of this
project prevents us from showing the details of the application. We would be
happy to discuss with you what we can regarding this project, so please contact
us.
